On October 20, Xu Yongqiang, director of the Planning and Finance Department of the Municipal Agricultural Commission, and Wang Huoming, director of the Vegetable and Agricultural Department, accompanied by Jiang Zhengjun, director of the Municipal Agricultural Technology Center, conducted an investigation on the construction of the seed industry in our city. Visited Hubei Seed Group Co., Ltd. and Hubei Huimin Agricultural Science and Technology Development Co., Ltd., inspected the implementation of seed industry construction, and listened to the introduction and suggestions of enterprises on the development of seed industry.
It is reported that since 2013, our city has continuously increased policy support to implement the construction of seed industry. Through the construction of innovative utilization platform of seed resources and the construction of crop production and breeding base and pilot base, seed enterprises have been driven to build a seed production base with strong radiation belt power and wide influence in the main agricultural production area of the new city, Guide seed enterprises to build a number of modern seed research and development, processing, storage, inspection equipment and facilities, improve the city's seed production and processing capacity and level, ensure the quantity and quality of seed supply, promote the significant acceleration of the promotion and application of improved varieties, and make every effort to promote the development of the city's crop seed industry.

The leaders of the Municipal Committee of Agriculture fully affirmed the construction of the seed industry in our city, and put forward requirements for further strengthening the management of the construction of the seed industry and promoting the development of the city's crop seed industry. The construction of the seed industry is an important component of our city to build China's seed capital.
