Developing Seed Economy to Boost Agricultural Development

On December 7, 2012, the second third standing council of Wuhan seed industry association was held in Wuchang. All executive directors of Wuhan Seed Industry Association attended the meeting. The main agenda is to discuss the addition of executive directors and award licenses. Comrade Cao Yongsheng, President of the Seed Industry Association, made a report on the work of the Association in 2012. Comrade Xu Jianwu, Deputy Secretary of the Association, read out the main points of the Association's work in 2013. Comrade Cheng Yaoming, Deputy Secretary of the Party Group, Executive Deputy Director and Honorary President of the Association of Wuhan Municipal Agriculture Bureau, made an important speech. The meeting pointed out: 2013 is the first year of major changes and comprehensive transformation of my country's crop seed industry. It is also a new starting point for our city to realize a new round of rapid development of the seed industry. The overall goal of building a well-off society, closely centering on the development of our city's seed industry, seeking major events, grasping important things, doing practical things, and achieving good things, actively and steadily promoting mergers and acquisitions and reorganization among enterprises, establishing a modern enterprise system, improving the industrial system, and enhancing the core competitiveness of enterprises are the focus of the association's work at present and in the future. The meeting sought development for the seed industry in our city, and made full success in recommending and offering suggestions.
