2014 National Agricultural Resources Regionalization Training Course Held in Zhejiang

On April 27-28, 2014, the National Agricultural Resources Regionalization Training Course was held in Tonglu, Zhejiang Province. Liu Beihua, deputy director of the National Agricultural Resources Division Office, presided over the training course and delivered a speech. Centering on the major strategies such as the construction of ecological civilization put forward by the third Plenary session of the 18th CPC Central Committee, Vice Liu Beihua systematically analyzed the opportunities and challenges faced by agricultural resource zoning in the new period, and comprehensively deployed the objectives and priorities of agricultural resource zoning in 2014. it is required that the national zoning system should accurately grasp the requirements of the situation, plan work ideas, highlight work priorities, give full play to its own advantages, and focus on summarizing and refining, strengthen demonstration and guidance.

The training course adopts a combination of special lectures, on-site teaching and seminars and exchanges, and comprehensively uses participatory and interactive teaching methods. Relevant experts from the Development Research Center of the State Council and the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences introduced special research reports on agricultural resources, environment and sustainable development, the impact of natural disasters and climate change on agricultural production capacity and layout adjustment, and China's agricultural ecological regionalization. The training course organizes special seminars and exchanges around the national agricultural sustainable development plan and the outline of the provincial agricultural sustainable development research report. Participants in the training actively spoke and offered suggestions. Jiangsu, Gansu, Shandong and Zhejiang respectively made typical exchanges and speeches on the supporting capacity of grain production resources, comprehensive utilization of water and soil resources, efficient utilization mode of agricultural resources, and resource utilization of agricultural wastes. The training course organized participants to go to Tonglu County to inspect the experience models such as the utilization of agricultural resources and the improvement of rural human settlements. Everyone agreed that they were deeply inspired and gained a lot.
