Heavy Precipitation in South China Unfavorable Crop Growth Northeast Spring Sowing Area Need to Prevent Low Temperature and Spring Waterlogging
Author:
Abstract:
The reporter learned from the Agricultural Meteorological Center of the National Meteorological Center that from April 19 to 25, continuous rain will be unfavorable to the formation of rape yield, cotton and one-season rice planting in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River, and will also affect the growth of early rice seedlings in the south of the Yangtze River and South China. The production of open-field vegetables and economic forest fruits, etc. The northeast region, which is about to start spring sowing on a large scale, needs to pay attention to preventing low-temperature spring waterlogging.
The main rainfall periods in the south are from the 19th to the 20th, from the 22nd to the 24th, and from the 25th to the 27th. The precipitation in the central and eastern parts of the southwest, the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River and most of the south is 50% to 1 times more than normal. Guo Anhong, a senior engineer at the Agricultural Meteorological Center, said that all localities should do a good job in clearing ditches and drainage to reduce the adverse effects of heavy rains, floods and continuous wet damage on agricultural production. The occurrence and development of wheat scab in Jianghuai and Jianghan regions are of high meteorological grade and need to be strengthened.
It is worth noting that from April 19 to 25, the temperature in most parts of the country was 1 ℃ to 2 ℃ higher, but the temperature in Northeast China was 1 ℃ to 2 ℃ lower than that in the same period of the year. At the same time, the precipitation in the eastern part of Northeast China is 10mm to 25mm. Guo Anhong pointed out that spring sowing in the northeast will be carried out on a large scale, and the east will pay attention to the adverse effects of low temperature and spring waterlogging. And in western Liaoning and other places of soil moisture deviation, the local need to pay attention to soil moisture sowing.
In addition, from April 19 to 25, most of the northwest, North China and Huanghuai agricultural areas have suitable soil moisture, which is beneficial to the sowing and emergence of spring corn, cotton, potato and other dryland crops and the jointing and booting of winter wheat; however, the precipitation in the central and southern part of North China and the northern part of Huanghuai River is 20% to 50% less, and the drought in central Hebei and northern Henan will continue or develop, which is unfavorable for winter wheat booting and heading. Guo Anhong suggested that arid areas should actively develop water sources and timely irrigation to ensure the water demand during the critical period of winter wheat growth. From the 21st to the 23rd and from the 25th to the 26th, there was sand and dust weather in the southern Xinjiang basin, which was unfavorable for cotton sowing operations.
