In order to implement the innovation strategy of Hubei Huimin corn scientific research and determine the development direction, the company held the "Hubei Huimin Southwest Corn Retreat Conference" on May 10, 2018 at Huimin Wuhan headquarters in Hubei ". Professor Liu Yongzhong of Huazhong Agricultural University, Wang Liming, Vice President of Enshi Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Yu Xiaoshan, Vice President of Longping High-tech Corn Research Institute, Guo Renjun, Head of Longping High-tech Corn Product Planning Department, General Manager, Deputy General Manager and Chief Breeder of Hubei Huimin Company, and all staff of corn research and testing participated in the meeting.

First of all, Professor Liu Yongzhong of Huazhong Agricultural University and Wang Liming, vice president of Enshi Academy of Agricultural Sciences, explained the current situation of corn breeding in southwest China and the goal and direction of future breeding.

Secondly, Yu Xiaoshan, vice president of Longping High-tech Corn Research Institute, and Guo Renjun of Corn Product Planning Department introduced the basic situation of platform construction of Longping High-tech Corn Research Institute and the current functions and tasks of Longping High-tech Corn Product Planning Department.

Subsequently, Zou Yong, chief breeder of Huimin, Hubei Province, introduced the idea, current situation and future development of maize breeding in Huimin, Hubei Province.

Finally, after listening to the opinions and suggestions put forward by leaders and experts on the development of corn breeding in southwest China, Qi Xianchao, general manager of Hubei Huimin, said that he would make a special report to Longping High-tech Maize Academy of Sciences to determine the final breeding direction and goal after sorting out the future planning and direction of corn breeding in southwest China.
